What was the general theme or argument of the book?
I read the book “How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big”. The general theme of this book is pretty much what it says in the title. Someone will continually fail at until they find that one business will not fail. Who knows, someone may continually fail their whole life. It’s how you create your odds is how you will create and better your luck.
How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003?
I have learned that entrepreneurs fail many times. The first business an entrepreneur will make won’t magically be successful.
If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve?
My exercise would be looking up three successful entrepreneurs and see how many businesses they tried to start up before creating their successful business. I think by doing this, it will show someone that even successful entrepreneurs have failed terribly, too.
What was your biggest surprise or your ‘aha’ moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed most from your expectations?
My biggest surprise was how many times Scott Adams fail with business ideas before becoming the person who created the “Dilbert” comic strips. I have learned that even the most successful entrepreneurs have fails many time before becoming successful.
