Existing Market:
I think what would be next for my company to consider would be keeping your beverage cold for a long period of time. My existing market works outdoors and if they do not take their lunchbox to keep their drinks cold, they can take a little container that keeps a single drink cold. It would be very lightweight and easy to carry. If they can carry their drink, they wouldn’t mind carrying a container the drink can be in. It can easily be placed in backpacks, day packs, purses, or wherever else a normal drink can be placed.
Existing Market Interviews:
1. My first interviewee thinks that I should start leaning towards outdoor gear. He thinks it is a good option since my customers base is for mostly the outdoors. He thinks my beverage Idea is a good one!
2. My second interview also likes my beverage idea. She thinks it’s a great idea for long car rides or just to keep a drink cold at her desk while she works. She thinks I should advertise and go onto social media platforms to advertise it (such as Instagram).
3. My third interviewee loves my idea. She would have both of my products if they were on the market. She said that she would probably benefit more on the beverage idea, because she usually drinks coke or water throughout the day and goes out to eat for lunch on her breaks.
Reflection:
After listening to my three interviewees, they all love my new beverage idea in addition to my LunchPro product. All of them said they could benefit of the beverage idea. My second interviewee also mentioned to advertise on social media to get my product out there.
New Market:
I think a new market for my product would be for businesses. My existing market is for anybody who is outdoors a lot and brings lunches/snacks with them. My new market would be businesses who need to also keep something cold. One example of a businesses that could use my product would be hospitals. Hospitals transport things (such as organs and medicines) that need to be refrigerated all around the world. This would help hospitals be able to transport things that need to stay a certain temperature for a long amount of time. Another example of a business that could use my product would be limo services. They could have them in the back of their limos for clients to get snacks or a drink when going to their next destination. I think businesses will see a need for my product, also.
New Market Interviews:
1. My first interviewee from this new market thinks my lunchbox is a good idea if it was cooler size. He has employees that work outside, so it would be good to keep cold waters in. He said the beverage idea is a good idea, but he finds know need for it for his business. For personal use is a different story, though.
2. My second interviewee from this new market also thinks my lunchbox idea is good if they have them in larger sizes for conventions and stuff. He said that he also likes my beverage idea, too.
Reflection:
Both people that I interviewed for love my lunchbox idea for their businesses. They would like the lunchbox to be more of a cooler size, so it could benefit multiple people instead of one person. They also like my beverage idea but see no need for it in a business aspect.
I continue to love your posts about these great hurricane houses. While I think that this market is pretty much tapped out and there are probably incredibly high levels of barrier to entry including high overhead and being incapable to keep up with big manufacturers Overall I think you are on to something great and you should keep developing the idea!
