8A- Solving the Problem

Selected Opportunity:

My product would have to do with helping to keep food and drinks cold for hours up to days when away from home. 

There are so many people that need to keep their food and beverages cold and most of the time ice packs or ice won’t do the trick. Some people are camping and need their food/drinks to keep cold for days as they camp, some people who work outside all day (such as construction workers) need a cold place for their food/drinks that will remain cold all day, etc.

Product Idea:

There is one product idea that could fix this problem. There needs to be a lunchbox that acts like a refrigerator. It has the same components as a mini fridge but runs on either battery or solar power. It uses solar power up until all the solar power energy is used up and then switches over to batteries. The solar power component allows the batteries to not run out during times of sunlight and also recharges the batteries when the batteries aren’t in use. During the night and when it is cloudy outside, the batteries turn on when the solar power cannot be used.

This would allow your food/drinks to stay cold continuously without having to worry about the ice melting and/or the ice packs to become warm. The lunchbox would have a continual steady temperature for days.
